Week 8 – Monday

Our post-modern context and bentness is rife with the deconstructionism that Derrida introduced in the 70’s. I must say I enjoy its implementation and use around culture, sub-culture, etc. The downfall, perhaps, is whether after deconstructing something, we can identify either an alternative that is healthy or more whole, or that we don’t develop the habit of breaking everything down without having an alternative at all. Our lives become a critique of anything, without actively constructing something in the rubble. This is my struggle…
