Week 4 – Models. . . Theology: Bevans; Chp. 4, The Translation Model

The two things that I found most significant in this model were the connection to scripture/tradition and the gospel as kernel/husk.  If it is only of these and one other model that has open, strong ties to the story that formed a people of Jesus, I’m curious as to how the other models reflect or cloud this.  In addition, I agree with the shift from a gospel core with a cultural outside would be better described as Haleblian offers, an onion with layers that the proclaimer of the gospel be attentive to.
