Week 10 – Response to Yoon Lee’s Post

I appreciate Yoon’s comments in the Ashcroft reading for this week around ethnicity.  What do we do to remain faithful to recognizing God’s image bearing in others without it becoming a play of power or means of othering?  There are tribes, people groups, and distinguishing characteristics of culture, discourse and worldview that have both aspects that reveal God’s grace and hinder his goodness.  Of course, race as classification is easier to point to in its prejudice.  If ethnicity perpetuates that, how do we holistically affirm the differences we find between peoples?
