Week 9 – Monday

It was refreshing to hear about some communities that respond to Jesus and our culture differently.  There is validity in reading the Bible, seeing something different than the norm, and responding in like manner.  I’ve struggled for so long at what this looks like and how these communities grow up, that it’s surprising that they were a “holdover” community so that people didn’t lose their faith.  So, getting a group of people together in this way is as easy as that:  a foundational understanding of following Jesus, his incarnate word offered to us in action, table fellowship, etc.  It seems a natural response, to some degree, that we would build communities of this nature, and that it would reflect church.
