Week 1 – Reading – Biblical Criticism and Post Colonial Studies, Segovia

Although I’ve been intellectually aware of my perspective as a white male in America and the lenses with which I interact in life, I’d not yet realized what that fully looked like until reading Segovia’s work.  To have a concrete alternative laid out:  an interpretive lens from the margin, or one from the colonized, was extremely humbling and brought the abstract into focus.
